Darren, a dedicated singer/songwriter has developed a very melodic style of finger picking and rhythmic strumming to accompany his instantly recognisable vocal style. Quite versatile in his writing, he effortlessly moves from tender and relaxing ballads, to quirky upbeat swing/jazz, to grunge style rock and back again.
Born and raised in the near proximity of Glastonbury, one of the key homes of alternative philosophy and spirituality in the UK, he has a wonderful way of looking at life and through his music, even when his songs tackle more problematic, sad and political themes, he has the ability to always remain hopeful and opitimistic.
Darren is an adventurous and free spirited musical performer, gifted with an honest writing ability and sensibility to production and performance. Driven by the desire to communicate on a deep and meaningful level, he writes according to his humble and alternative upbringing, with a very strong definition of what he feels is morally wrong and right in our modern society.
